Competition Information

 

 

PAGEANT:  The pageant date for 2017/18 is to be announced.

at Havens Hall, Indiana University Kokomo

at 5:00 PM.

Tickets are $15.00 at the door.

 

 

ELIGIBILITY:  To be eligible for the title of Miss Hoosier Heartland, Miss Hoosier Heartland's Outstanding Teen, or Miss Cardinal's Outstanding Teen, a contestant must reside or attend school full time  in the state of Indiana.   To be eligible for the title of Miss Cardinal, a contestant must reside in Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Miami, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren or White county.

 

 

MISS CONTESTANTS :   Contestants for Miss Hoosier Heartland and Miss Cardinal will compete in Interview, On-Stage Question, Talent, Swimsuit, and Evening Gown.  She must be between the ages of 17 (Senior in High School) and 24 (Cannot be 25 before December 31st) years of age.  All Miss contestants are required to obtain a $100 donation for Children's Miracle Network, Miss America's National Sponsor.  Titleholders will be required to represent Miss Hoosier Heartland and Miss Cardinal at the state competition in June.  Wardrobe requirements include Business attire, Swimsuit, Talent costume, Evening gown, and a red or black cocktail dress. Miss Contestants are asked to provide a basket with a value of at least $20 for the Silent Auction at the local pageant.   They will also be asked to obtain advertisers for the program book to offset expenses.

 

 

TEEN CONTESTANTS:  Contestants for Miss Hoosier Heartland's Outstanding Teen and Miss Cardinal's Outstanding Teen will compete in Interview, On-Stage Question/Evening Gown, Talent, and Activewear.  She must be between the ages of 13 and 17 (Junior in High School).  Each Teen contestant must pay a non-refundable entry fee of $150 to the Miss Hoosier Heartland/Miss Cardinal Scholarship Program.  Titleholders will be required to represent Miss Hoosier Heartland's Outstanding Teen and Miss Cardinal's Outstanding Teen at the state competition in June.  Wardrobe requirements include Business attire, Activewear, Talent costume, Evening gown, and a red or black cocktail dress.  Teen Contestants are asked to provide a basket with a value of at least $20 for the Silent Auction at the local pageant.  They will also be asked to obtain advertisers for the program book to offset expenses.

 

 

PRINCESS PARTICIPANTS:  For young ladies between the ages of 4 to 12 years of age, we also have a non-competitive Princess Program.  Princess participants will make a stage appearance in evening gowns or Sunday best at the pageant.   Each participant must pay a $35 non-refundable fee to the Miss Hoosier Heartland/Miss Cardinal Scholarship Program.

 

 

ADDITIONAL EXPENSES:   Titleholders will incur additional expenses to compete at the state level.  Some of these may include, but are not limited to: having a professional headshot photo, raising additional funds for Children's Miracle Network, purchasing autograph cards, and purchasing additional attire for competition and appearances.  Titleholders will also be required to participate in events and fundraising efforts throughout their year of reign.
